While she couldn't guess why, her confession made him sheepish. She grinned in response, deciding not to poke at him for it. Right then anyways. Talion was something else, compared to who she usually kept company with. Which as of late, was either her dog or Bram. For some reason, not many others liked to visit with her. Even during her trips outside the castle, her mages tried not to spend more time with her than they had to. She'd never really noticed it before, but now that she did, she wasn't sure she liked it. Her whole life growing up was about power, her position, her wealth. But Talion made her rethink that. He seemed content without any of that. Hm. She eyed him as he grabbed the leaf, examining it, and asking her a question. The main question. She was quiet, remembering how intense Bram had been that morning, and how uncomfortable it had made her. It was the main reason she knew she needed to be honest with him. "I'm very fond of him. But...no. I don't love him." She paused briefly before continuing. "And alright. I don't see why not. It would make sense to have you around-" Blythe stopped abruptly, stopping herself from finishing the sentence. In case he is dangerous. "Thank you, Talion."

"Just part of my job, I guess. Stopping wars before they happen. I wouldn't want to use the term hero but... if you think it fits," His expression was carefully neutral as he said it, but the humor danced in his eyes. He felt more relaxed now, with a plan of action. He doubted Bram would be careless or reckless enough to seek revenge if he was present and made his feelings on the matter clear. It was somehow easier to enjoy Blythe's company. "I hope you've learned from this mistake. Have you?"

"Oh, my hero in shining armor," she grinned, the air between them warm and sunny. Hopefully he was right, and things would be fine. Bram would be angry though, and she knew her times with him would come to an end. Maybe it was for the best though. As she glanced sideways at Talion, she noted that strong jawline, allowing herself to wonder what it would feel like against her palm. He had a good heart. She sighed in defeat at his question, rolling her eyes. "I suppose there is a lesson to be learned in this," she admitted, looking away. It was time to work this out. "I'm going to head home. I'll send for you two soon though." She swallowed, beginning to part away, her horse turning away from his. "I'll see you again then," she smiled over her shoulder.
