It took Noelani a few seconds to find Dante in the nameless sea of pirates she didn’t care to remember. Her entire body went rigid with rage when he winked at her and she had to resist the urge to lunge at him right then and there.
“Dante should accompany me. He is, after all, to thank for recruiting me.”
Noelani glances at the girl next to Saoul, figuring she must have been their navigator. She would be another good one to add to her list of those to kill - humans were not meant to find this island. If this navigator was going to be stupid enough to mess with dark magic, then she would die. Although, once they were ashore, dark magic and sirens weren’t the only threats. The island was home to other mythical creatures, all of whom wouldn’t appreciate the presence of pirates. If things worked in her favor, then maybe she wouldn’t have to do anything at all.
