“I needed to keep tabs,” she started with a strong slash. Her attacks were exact opposite, strong but she held back. She’d let Attila wear herself out. “A pirate like you is bound to bring more that want trouble, even if you didn’t intend so.” Her eyes watched the dagger, taking the hit with a rumble in her throat. With her free hand she punched Attila’s beautiful face and swung again and again. “Gave myself up, you wouldn’t understand the sacrifice even if I had done that for the likes of you!” She glanced down at the sting in her thigh, laughing out of spite. A cut in her eyes. “Yield, Attila, you won’t win this fight.” Eira tightened her grip on her sword before lunging, returning the same cut she was given.

Attila grunted as she was struck, her head snapping back. She laughed when she felt the sticky, hot trickle of blood flow from her nose. She leveled her gaze at Eira. "I will die before I yield," she promised, even as she suffered the sting from Eira's blade. The pirate lunged back at Eira, returning blow for blow, trying to push the woman towards the ship's railing. "I can help you, Eira! There's no need for this," she panted, feeling the exertion of their fight beginning to prick at her muscles.

Of course she’d try bargaining her way out of this, no pirate would fight to the death. “Then die,” Eira ignored the burn in her arms that formed even through her adrenaline. Each hit was harder than the last as they continued their dance, only pausing when she felt the railing press against her back. She held her blade against Attila’s, calculating her options. She could be thrown overboard and eaten by the pirate’s sea monster or hopefully saved by her winged horse before she sank to the bottom. She could also drag the captain with her if she was quick enough, but none of the options seemed beneficial. She’d either be dead or Attila would still be alive. “Why would I trust you to help me?”

"You think I like having my movements tracked?" Attila hissed, her blade pressed up against Eira's. Like the general, she was sorting through her options. Push her overboard and let fate decide what happened? Cut he throat? Or let her live? Her stunning eyes bored into Eira's before she took a different path, leaning in to kiss Eira roughly, spurred on by the adrenaline in her veins. "It would be a shame to kill you, darling. Let's both come out of this reasonably, eh?" Attila tempted, her sword still held to Eira's neck, aware of how close she was. Aware of her closeness to the woman's body, and to her blade as well.

“That’s what happens when you are a dangerous woman,” Eira responded with a smirk, pressing closer towards the other woman without regard to the blade at her neck. A rush surged to her nether regions when she was kissed and her cheeks grew red with embarrassment. “As if you could,” however despite being evenly matched with drive, Attila could kill her because she was her weakness. The general withdrew her sword without breaking eye contact, perhaps there were more reasonable and rational ways to go about this curse.

Attila sheathed her sword as well, taking a quick deep breath. "Why don't we have a nice time together tonight, since you're here?" Attila murmured, smiling charmingly at Eira. "And we can come up with a plan that doesn't involve either of us dying. I think it would be a right shame to have either one of us taken from this world. There's a serious lack of women like us in this world."

She ran a hand through her hair, regaining her own composure before nodding. “You aren’t wrong,” she said as she stepped away from the railing. “I suppose a nice time would be suitable after all of this.” She forced a sheepish smile before stepping past her to look over the rest of the ship. She was a little surprised no one came to their captain’s aid. “Who would kiss your thigh better than I anyway?”

"No one on board this ship, that's for sure," Attila chuckled, seeming to wonder the same thing as Eira. Why had no one come to help her? Attila cast a glance down the deck, and saw why. Three of her crew members were attempting to reel in a mermaid, and sharks were circling. While an inexperienced captain might have worried, Attila simply shook her head. Beastie waited below them all, ready to act if things got out of hand or far too dangerous. Those sharks would make an excellent appetizer for her pet, she was sure. "What do you think of that?" she nodded towards the thrashing, pointing out the situation.

While on one hand she was used to their mythical world, she still disliked a majority of its creatures. She looked down at the mermaid, then to the water on the horizon. If she was thrown overboard, it wasn’t just drowning and the kraken she needed to worry about. “What are they doing with it? I don’t see what value a mermaid holds. They seem like they would be a nuisance.” If she we’re down there, she would just kill it. “Shouldn’t you help them?”

Attila shrugged her shoulders, unconcerned. she looped her arm around Eira's waist, pulling her close. "I know merchants who would pay a good sum of money for a mermaid for various reasons. For show, for magic, whatever it may be." She watched her crew struggle and shook her head. "They can handle themselves, I'm sure. Although it was reckless of them. Why don't you come with me to my chambers and we can come up with a plan for this witch of yours?"

Eira nodded, “Do you think you’ll ever get tired of the gold?” She herself knew that she would have to retire, but she would settle if she weren’t dead before then. What did a pirate do once they couldn’t sail? Eira cast one more look at the crew and mermaid before focusing on Attila, leaning into her. She recalled the first time she saw the woman’s chambers and shook her head. It felt like so long ago although it wasn’t.

Attila led her to her chambers, and lit a few lanterns before settling onto a sofa, beckoning Eira to her. "I will never tire of the gold, to be honest. It's not really about the riches. It's about the chase, and the fact acquisition." She mused, guessing that Eira was probably a rather simple woman when it came to creature comforts. "Now, tell me exactly what happened with the witch."

It seemed like a fair enough answer, Eira thought as she joined her lover. She let out a huff at her stupidity, “I met her at the pub, I thought it would be a quick fling but she was enchanting.” As she replayed the memory in her head she bit her tongue. She knew Attila would get an ego stroke, “Of course you were on my mind. So I said I wanted to keep track of you. She killed Rune in exchange and now here we are.”

"I was on your mind even as you were making love with another woman?" Attila snorted, but tried to reign back her ego. What Eira was experiencing was undoubtedly difficult, especially with the loss of her Pegasus. "I'm sorry, that's not a kind reaction of me. which pub did you meet her at? Did she take you anywhere else?" Attila dealt in powerful creatures and magics often, and she was sure there was a way to break this spell. There was always a way, but if it came down to paying a price like the one Eira had paid, she wasn't sure she would do it. She lightly pressed her fingers to Eira's neck, wrapping her arms around her.

Eira rolled her eyes, but couldn’t hide her small smile at her prediction being true. “The same pub I met you. Like I said I was enchanted, I thought she led me to her house but suddenly we were in a forest. I made the discovery when I returned to the castle. Had I known.. I would’ve killed her on the spot,” she spat despite melting into Attila’s arms. Part of her was glad it was only her personally affected by the curse and not anyone of royalty. She was foolish. “If we do cross paths with her, would we do another deal or just keep her as prisoner?” She had a feeling she would be alone with the witch if they found her again. She wasn’t sure if she could make that decision.
