Sasha growled slightly as Derric grabbed her, jerking away as he let her go. She took a breath- he was right. Her anger had blinded her to the fact that he also did not care for the posh lifestyle of court. "It is best not to goad me, Derric. You'll find I'm like a cornered animal." She lightly pressed her hand to his thigh, and his wound healed instantly. "I'll give you that one for free, considering it was my fault." The slightest hint of a smile touched her lips.

His dark eyes watched her hand closely, the surprise in his expression now hinted with awe instead of the pain. He took her hand and gave it a squeeze before letting go, “With trust an animal doesn’t feel cornered.” Derric made note that she indeed told the truth about her healing abilities. The thought of why she felt the need to be so defensive crossed his mind but he decided he would ask her the next time their paths crossed if they crossed again. “Is there anything else I could assist you with, Sasha?”

"No, thank you. I think you've helped me quite enough already. I hope our paths cross again, gypsy." Sasha turned away from him, ignoring him now as she pondered his words.
