Eira had been overlooking the ceremony, awaiting trouble. She stood off to the side but in view of her king's court. She seemed rather disinterested as she had been used to these sort of gatherings, but once Wolfgang started screaming, her eyes flashed with attentiveness. Her hand automatically gripped the hilt of her sword. "What is going on?" She asked mostly to herself as she rushed to Evolet and Arabella's side.

Nadia frowned as she caught Alister's subtle command. Like this day needed any more drama. "Come," she mouthed back, determined to ignore the panic that seemed to be setting in over the crowd. But she didn't have a choice but to start moving as she got swept up in the crowd as everyone made for the nearest exit.
Alaric was at his daughter's side in an instant, his usually calm eyes showing alarm. This was unlike Wolfgang and that sound he'd made...it made his skin crawl, "Let's go. Now," He took her hand and pulled, not caring if her friends were keeping up or not. If anyone was going to be safe from harm, it was his Evolet.
Destrian was already moving toward the royal couple before Talion's command even rang out. He began leaping chairs and dodging civilians as the crowd started to rush toward the exit, "Move!" he started to growl at people as they impeded his path. He was all too familiar with monsters and dark magic and the sounds he was hearing from the center of the room were no joking matter. As he finally reached Alister and Yasmin, he gripped the hilt of his sword and stood in front of them defensively, "You must leave, sir. It's not safe,"

Arabella clung to Evolet, watching Wolfgang with a mixture of fascination and terror. "I don't know," she said, shaking her head in response to both Evolet and Eira's question. As Alaric appeared and began yanking Evolet with him, Arabella was dragged along too. For a moment, she stumbled unthinkingly along with them, then she heard Poppy's voice through the crowd and her mouth went dry. "Evolet!" She said suddenly, halting and breaking the steady march Alaric had kept the girls on. "Poppy's back there." They were nearly to one of the exits now.
Having screamed a warning to those around him, Seb stood transfixed, watching Wolfgang slowly begin the transformation. His desire to run from what he knew was about to happen warred with the fear that paralyzed him as memories of his brother attacking him spun through his mind.
The only acknowledgement Bram gave to Destrian's sudden appearance was a brief glance to see who he was. Afterward, his attention was once more focused on Wolfgang. Unlike most other people in the room, he didn't feel frightened of the scene, only a vague sense of curiosity. His only concern was ensuring Alister's safety, something Destrian seemingly had handled; he supposed he should also care for the safety of his new queen, but quite honestly, he couldn't be bothered at the moment. He and Alister had a relationship, a history. Yasmin was but a means to an end for Alister, and thus, largely irrelevant to Bram.

Wolfgang continued to writhe in pain on the floor as chaos ensued around him. Tortured screams intertwined with hideous snarls escaped him as the transformation began to take shape. Somehow, Terrowin's voice was able to break through the horror and realization dawned on him. He grabbed her arm with a bruising grip and managed to meet her gaze with bloodshot eyes, "Get out. I'm begging you," he pleaded before shoving her as far away as he possibly could. It was the last thing Wolfgang would remember before his bones began to shift, his clothes and skin began to tear, and everyone bared witness to his transformation into a massive wolf-like beast. The monster raised up onto it's hind legs and let out a deafening roar before lunging for the closest warm body. It's jaws closed around Poppy's midsection and it shook it's head violently from side to side like a dog with a toy, spraying blood across the once beautiful wedding scene.

Evolet stumbled along behind her father, glad to have his grip on her. She craned her neck trying to see what was happening to Wolfgang. "Arabella!" She shouted as her friend let go, but she couldn't stop moving now. Perhaps it was selfish, but when her eyes landed on Wolfgang as he transformed, she screamed in terror. He was a monster! Evolet pushed against her father's back, trying desperately to cram them through the doorway jammed with people running and screaming.
Ari couldn't focus on Destrian as she so wanted to. "Luna!" She screeched for her wolf, who had already appeared in the throne room at the first sign of trouble. The might beast bounded towards Wolfgang, snarling, ready to attack the creature that threatened them. Ari, in the meantime, began to force people through doorways. The royals were being looked after, and there was nothing she could do. She spotted Nadia in the crowd and made her way to her, grabbing her arm. She thrust her friend toward the nearest door, "It's not safe here, handmaiden."
Talion knew that the best thing he could do right now was put himself between Wolfgang and everyone else. He took up beside Luna and drew his great sword, his eyes flashing. His berserker nature begged to be unleashed, and he was going to let it take over. If anyone could fight whatever it was Wolfgang was becoming, it would be him. He doubted he would win. But it mattered not. This was the call of a soldier, the call of a brave and good man.

"No," She whispered, but it was too late. When Wolfgang pushed her, Terrowin would be ashamed to admit that she ran. But she had seen him like this before, and she knew she would not survive it. And she had to, to fight for him when it was all over. Her heart broke in that moment. Their time together had been full of hope. What would it be now? Naught but ashes. Terrowin was forced through a doorway, and she fled to Wolfgang's tower, thinking that she would be safe there.
"Arabella!" Poppy screamed as Wolfgang's jaws closed around her. The pain ripped through her, white hot and searing. She continued to scream as she was torn apart, until she had nothing left. Her blood stained the marble floors beneath her as she lay dead, ravaged by the beast.
Alister glanced at Bram. Was there anything his mage could do? Anything that anyone could do? He noticed Talion, his general, taking on the beast and he made a note to give him a raise of some sort if he survived. He looked to Destrian, and Alister saw an opportunity. If Yasmin got lost in t he fray, no one would blame him. In that moment, the cold and calculating king saw a solution to his little problem. He nodded to Destrian, "Lead us out," he commanded, loosening his grip on Yasmin ever so slightly as the crowd swept up against them. When the crowd pressed in tight, Alister used his magic to make the air around him unbearably cold, enough to give him room. But Yasmin was swept away, and he did not look back.

Alaric dragged Evolet in front of him and cast one final glance over his shoulder to behold the monster that his daughter's suitor had become. How could he have been so horribly wrong about the man? As they finally escaped the room, he wrapped Evolet in his arms and led her out of the castle with haste, "We're going home. Don't look back, dear,"
Nadia was flooded with relief at the sight of Ari, but was pushed straight out the doorway to safety before she could utter a word to her. Surrounded by fleeing strangers in the next room, she felt panic set in. She refused to follow the others any further and began to scan the crowd desperately, not for Yasmin, but for Alister.
Destrian led the king to the exit, waiting until he was sure Alister had made it to safety before turning to face the beast. He had assumed Yasmin would be right at Alister's side and did not bother to confirm. He made way for the defensive line that was surrounding the werewolf, seeking Ari as the room began to empty out. Following not far behind Luna was Jinx, his black panther. The creature had grown quite fond of it's wolf counterpart and was immediately at its side, baring it's fangs at Wolfgang.

Eira's head snapped towards Poppy and the beast that just tore her apart. She rushed to aid Talion, sword drawn and adrenaline pumping. She had seen dead bodies before but it was Poppy, she couldn't help in looking down at her now lifeless body, at least what was left. A rage overcame her and the general took no time in snapping back to the Wolfgang. She swung, forgetting any sort of strategy at the moment. At least they could distract him while the guests fled.

Wolfgang dropped the mangled body of Poppy to the floor and roared at the line of soldiers and animals that had lined up before him, his eyes going wide like that of any other cornered animal. But instead of attacking them, the beast spun around and charged for the crowded doorway as the remaining people scrambled for safety. He lunged and knocked Monroe to the floor, sinking his claws into the man's back with all his weight until the life left his eyes. The werewolf's eyes flitted around for it's next victim, pausing ever so briefly on the frozen Sebastian before landing with resolve on Arabella who had found herself stranded in her attempt to find Poppy. He began a slow prowl toward his prey, blood dripping menacingly from his muzzle.

Evolet did as her father commanded and did not look back. But the screams, the horrible screams, would haunt her thoughts and dreams for years to come. She sobbed as she clung to her father, escaping into the night.
Ari joined in the fray as Wolfgang began taking people down. She dream her sword and lunged at Wolfgang, trying to knock him off course from Arabella. She plunged her sword at his shoulder, burying it in flesh. Luna leaped through the crowd as her owner went for the animal, her protective instincts kicking into overdrive. The wolf knew her panther friend would be right behind her. The large wolf threw herself at Wolfgang as Ari went in for her strike, tousling with Wolfgang with teeth and claw.
Talion's adrenaline rushed through him hotly and he lost control as he fought his way through the crowd. He didn't see Yasmin go down beneath the crowd of people trampling near the throne, fleeing from Arabella and her attacker.

Arabella had halted just in time to see Wolfgang rip Poppy apart, a sight that made her scream and fall to her knees, crying. In the few moments she sat sobbing, Wolfgang had killed again and had begun prowling toward her. Feeling his intense gaze on her, she looked up, stumbled to her feet, and began running, still crying from both terror and sadness. She had no idea where Evolet and Alaric had gone, and she was running blindly, not really toward an exit, just trying to get away from Wolfgang.
The sight of Poppy's mangled body dropping to the floor was enough to jolt Seb out of his daze. After a quick glance around the room, he scrambled toward one of the less crowded exits. The memories were still overwhelming, making it difficult to think about anything else. He felt as if he couldn't quite get enough breath, his heart was pounding, his hands were shaking, but he knew if he didn't leave, he would die. His movement was propelled purely by this innate need for self-preservation.
Bram watched the scene unfold before him with detached interest, not bothering to move from where he stood. In truth, he knew he could probably stop the man if he wanted to, but part of him enjoyed the bloodshed happening around him. It made him feel something other than the emptiness.

Alister had made it out safely, his eyes searching out Nadia in the crowd. He fought his way to her and grabbed her wrist, tugging her towards his chambers. "Come, we'll be safe," he promised her, and did not look back again. Yasmin would most likely die in there, and Alister felt nothing about it except the faintest twinge of disappointment. Disappointment that she had not proven herself useful, and that she had brought this end upon herself.

Nadia's heart leapt at the sight of Alister heading straight for her. Out of all of these people, she was the only one he seemed to care about. It made her feel so very important, more important than...Her legs stopped moving at the thought of Yasmin but Alister's grip on her forced her to stumble forward and keep walking. In a state of shock, she wasn't sure what to make of the bittersweet feeling of abandoning the friend she was sworn to protect. But instead of looking back, she looked up at Alister with affirmation and followed him to his chambers.
Destrian fought alongside Ari, slashing his sword across the werewolf's hind legs in an attempt to immobilize it. He knelt suddenly and allowed Jinx the panther to use his back as a launching point. The big cat landed squarely on the creature's back and raked it's claws through it's thick fur.
Wolfgang let out strangled howls as he was assaulted by a series of blades, teeth and claws. He suddenly rolled onto his back, effectively prying both the panther and the wolf off of him. He charged forward and plowed Ari and Destrian to the side, still focused on his original target: Arabella. The poor girl had cornered herself and the beast showed no mercy. He crashed the helpless girl into the wall and torn her to pieces with teeth and claws, flinging bits of bloodstained dress fabric into the air. The only thing that halted the assault was the werewolf's attention being drawn to something shiny nearby. Yasmin's newly adorned crown.

Talion was too late to save poor Arabella, but he leaped between Yasmin and Wolfgang. His heart sank in his chest. He was sworn to protect the royal couple, but he had failed. He attacked the beast with no mercy, in a series of vicious, rage-fueled attacks. He didn't care where his sworn landed.
Ari grunted as she was flung away and whistled Luna to her again. She ran through what was left of the crowd, trying to get this under control. "Bring him down!" She shouted, hurling herself onto Wolfgang as Talion swung madly. She had never seen her general like this. So... unrestrained, but so perfect in his wrath. Ari plunged her dagger into Wolfgang's side, trying to subdue him enough to get him in chains. Luna had crushed one of her paws when she was thrown by the werewolf, but at Ari's call, she joined in once again, biting at Wolfgang's hind legs, trying to drag him away from Yasmin.

Roman hadn’t attended the wedding. While the King was incapacitated with partying, someone needed to take of official matters. Not that he wanted to attend the wedding, anyway. Just the thought of Yasmin made him grind his teeth in irritation. And of all Roman’s talents, socialization was not one of them. So all in all, Roman really didn’t mind not attending the wedding.
By pure happenstance, Roman was walking down a nearby hallway when the commotion erupted. Immediately he raced towards the noise, shouldering open a servant’s door towards the back of the ballroom.
Inside the ballroom was one massive clusterfuck. Of course, Alister hadn’t been too keen on his ideas to more closely monitor and restrict those with magic, and now one of them was completely out of control and spreading blood all over the ballroom. He scowled; the blood ruined all the tapestries and fine silks. They would have be trashed and replaced. How inconvenient. Besides the torn up bodies, he watched the soldiers and their animals try to contain the problem. Roman thought about intervening, but he wasn’t sure if his power of persuasion would work on the beast. It didn’t work on animals, and Roman wasn’t too sure how would work on someone halfway between beast and man.
His thoughts were rudely interrupted by someone quite literally running into him, pushing him back into the hallway a step or two. He scowled again, his eyes meeting the terrified ones of the new queen. She was borderline hysterical, but relief washed over her features as she mistaked him for her savior.
She was saying something, but Roman wasn’t listening. The gears were turning in his head, the opportunity was too perfect. He couldn’t resist.
“You want to go back in there, you want to go up to the werewolf,” He cut her off mid sentence, his melodic voice saturated with his persuasion. She stopped taking immediately, hypnotized by his request, and turned back into the room in which she would be slaughtered.
Roman didn’t need to stay around to watch what would happen next. No one had seen him, and even if they had, he could easily convince them they hadn’t. He slipped back into the shadows, disappearing down the same hallway he had come from, just as if he had never been there at all.
