Blythe wasted no time in moving out of the way, away from the beast attacking the wedding goers. She shoved Sashka away, filling her beloved pet with the need to run. She'd find her later. With Sashka out of the way she turned to the werewolf, taking out her frustration and anger on the bloody beast. She pulled out her small sword, hidden under her left garter, swinging and feeling it catch flesh, landing on the wolf. Her free hand extended, she readied an energy blast, aware it was a weaker magic than her manipulative tricks. It would have to do here, however.

Bram continued to watch Wolfgang's rampage, still feeling no desire to put an end to the bloodshed happening in the room. As he watched the man rip body after body apart, he noticed a familiar figure approach Wolfgang and attack. His eyes darkened and anger welled up inside of him at the sight of Blythe. Suddenly, unable to resist this opportunity to hurt her, he reached out to the man's mind. Around Wolfgang, everyone else in the room melted away. It was only and him and Blythe, and she was a threat to him, a threat that needed to be eliminated. Bram would pull the illusion before she was killed, of course. She couldn't die yet; he had too many plans for her, and she hadn't suffered enough for what she had done to him.

Destrian and Jinx were not far behind Ari, continuing the assault to what seemed like no avail. It seemed at though the creature possessed some sort of accelerated healing ability. It was losing blood rapidly, but remained on it's feet as though their sword strikes were just mere surface wounds. His eyes landed on Bram from across the room and realization dawned on him that the man was idly standing by, or perhaps facilitating the bloodbath, "Look," he yelled at Ari, pointing his sword to expose the head mage.
The more pain Wolfgang endured, the more he seemed to spiral into a deranged frenzy of attack. Talion had distracted him from his pursuit of the Queen and the man's sword landed heavy blows to the wolf's shoulders and face, narrowly missing his eyeball. Snarling and spitting blood, the monster reared up and swung a massive paw at the man, sending Talion flying into the nearby window and causing the glass to crack. The beast started to make a run for it, clearly growing weary from its many wounds, when suddenly he was swept up into Bram's illusion. He slid to a halt, leaving a trail of thick blood in his wake, and swung his enormous head to focus on the only thing left in the room: Blythe. He charged forward and used his head like a bull, flinging the woman several feet into the air with great force.

Eira took the opportunity to keep the attack on Wolfgang by stabbing the monster in its hindquarters. She let out relentless slashes into his side, yelling at it partly from the rage of losing Poppy and Arabella. Recovering what was left of them would be a heavy weight on her own heart, so she showed the pain through her blade.

Blythe had time to see Talion thrust aside before the wolf tried to flee. Suddenly it stopped, turned to her and attacked. Shit. She took the blow, crying out as she landed roughly. Thankfully she hadn't been abandoned, and the others took advantage of the monster's attention on her to attack. But why was it targeting her alone. Her head reeled, and a wave of nausea rolled through her, the corners of her sight beginning to shadow.

Talion grunted as he was flung away, hitting glass. He didn’t stay down for long though and charged again, enraged as the beast went for Blythe. “We need chains!” He roared out orders and soldiers who had ushered guests out went running for chains with which to bind Wolfgang. But until they returned, everyone was a target.
Ari’s head whipped towards Bram as Destrian pointed him out. That bastard! Ari turned her attention to him briefly and sprinted across the room, her dark brown eyes like pools of fire. “Get out of here or help, Bram,” she spat at him, lifting her sword to him defiantly. She knew he could harm her, but she was sworn to protect these people and she would.
As the commotion occurred, the newly crowned Queen Yasmin was able to find her feet, trying to flee.

Alister exhaled and look down at Nadia in his arms, relaxing. "What the hell just happened?" he pressed his forehead against hers, though he felt more inconvenienced than anything by this turn of events. It added a lot to his plate, and then of course, he hoped there would be a funeral to arrange. "What a fine mess this will be to clean up." And he was shocked that Wolfgang of all people had hidden this from him so successfully for so long. So that had ruined a union with Nethilor, which was also a blow.

Bram glanced at Ari as she approached, the darkness in his eyes growing as she snapped at him. Being her superior, she had no right to speak to him like that, and it was a fact she should not have forgotten, especially not in the state he was currently in. She would pay, just like Blythe. "Actually," he said icily, "I've been trying. Or did you forget that my magic works from a distance? I've never tried manipulating a beast's mind before. It's not the same as a person's, which makes it a difficult task. A difficult task which you've just distracted me from."

Destrian should have been focused on joining the assault on the beast, but his attention was still drawn to Bram as Ari confronted the man. He did not like the look that the mage cast upon his lover. That look alone made him want to tear Bram's head from his shoulders and feed it to the werewolf. Wolfgang wasn't the only cursed being in the room. He started stalking toward the two but was stopped abruptly by the other soldiers as they returned to the scene with heavy chains in hand. He growled under his breath and lifted one end of the chain, making a run for Wolfgang.
Wolfgang was released from Bram's illusion as the mage became distracted. The massive wolf shook his head back and forth to clear its vision and was suddenly face to face with his earlier fixation. Yasmin, hypnotized by Roman's persuasion, had willing walked directly into the predators path. Despite the onslaught of attacks from Eira, the wolf's eyes dilated and focused in on the gleaming crown upon Yasmin's head. Only a few seconds passed before he opened his jaws wide and snapped them down around the young queen's head, effectively detaching skull from spine. The beast then dropped her head, crown and all, to the ground with a clatter. He raised up on hind legs and let out a room shaking howl, as though in victory.
Though Alister had led Nadia to safety, she remained in a quiet state of shock. In the distance, she could hear muffled screaming and howling. Peering up at the king, she gripped the collar of his suit tightly in her fists and pulled so she could look him more directly in the eye, "You left her on purpose." It wasn't a question. She knew what Alister had done to Yasmin. Even the handmaiden herself couldn't yet decipher how she felt about the sudden traumatic series of events, "Why?" she demanded to know.

The general backed away in shock at the sheer strength of Wolfgang’s bite. The rustling of the chains brought by the soldiers brought her back into focus. Following suit of Destrian, she grabbed hold of one of the thick chains and dashed towards Wolfgang, daring to get close enough to wrap around his legs. “Get him by the neck!” She snapped at the other soldiers, arms pulling the thick chain as tight as she could.

Alister was surprised to be called out by Nadia, but it was done. He stared back at her, unflinching. "She was in the way. I saw an opportunity to get rid of her in a way that casts no suspicion on me. I wish things could have been different for her, I do. But she left little choice. Do you hate me?" He studied her as he explained, no feeling in his voice whatsoever at Yasmin's loss. As to what she had been standing in the way of, it could have been any number of things. Of him and Nadia, of his kingship, of ruling the way he wanted, of peace in the kingdom.

Ari narrowed her eyes at Bram and was about to whip back a snarky remark, but now was not the time. She bit her tongue and gave the head mage a withering look. He'd changed, become different lately. Crueler. But she had other things to worry about. As Yasmin's head was snapped clean from her shoulders, the soldier let out a string of curses. Would the soldiers be held responsible for not protecting their queen? Ari lunged back into the chaos as the chains were brought, grabbing one and running to Wolfgang as he was hindered by Eira. She threw her chain across the mighty wolf's back and with a risky move, got close enough to reach beneath him to grab the end of the chain and attempted to loop it around his front paws. How long would his rampage last? Luna circled nearby, trying to keep Wolfgang corralled as the soldiers tried to take down the wolf.
As Ari worked, Talion mimicked her movements but did not go for the front paws. "Pull!" He shouted, the fog beginning to clear as the danger towards most, including Blythe, began to be controlled. The loss of the queen was a pity, and at the back of his mind, Talion was worried for how that would impact Nadia. He would check on her later. For now, the general secured a firm stance and pulled hard on the chains around Wolfgang's torso, trying to force him still.

Wincing as she sat up, Blythe rubbed the back of her head, feeling the warm sensation of blood. Something to check later. For now it seemed to be working, chains on the crazy animal. She was weakening, quickly, but took her chance to try one last thing, willing the werewolf to calm down. Her magic was weaker on animals, and even more so in magical ones. But she only needed him to feel it barely, just enough for Talion and the others to take advantage and pull it down. She eyed Bram warily, for a moment wondering if he'd had something to do with the attack. She shook the thought free and focused on calming the wolf, tensing as she forced her magic on it.

Destrian gripped the other end of Ari's chain and pulled hard, his shoes slipping on blood as Yasmin's decapitated body bled out on the tile floor. His suspicion was growing over the many powerful players within Raevaryn. The werewolf, it seemed, was the easiest of threats to quell. Somehow, the queen was dead moments after she was crowned. It was a red flag he couldn't ignore.
The sudden onslaught of chains finally prevented Wolfgang from continuing the bloody rampage. His powerful legs were suddenly yanked out from beneath him, forcing him to land on his belly with a thud. His claws scrambled frantically on the ground, attempting and failing to get a footing on the blood soaked floor. At first, he thrashed wildly in an attempt to free himself, but as Blythe's magic settled over the beast, it seemed he was finally ready to give up. Scorching, angry eyes focused in on Blythe, as though the entity that had control over Wolfgang was aware of who had finally reigned him in. Then, the monster stilled and appeared to release Wolfgang from its hold. The grotesque transformation from beast to man took only moments before Wolfgang lay naked and motionless beneath a pile of heavy chains. He was beaten brutally, covered in blood and unconscious- and yet, still alive. Already, it appeared that his body was rapidly healing itself.
Nadia narrowed her eyes and released her grip on Alister's clothes, creating a small distance between them. There was a pause and then she drew her small hand back and slapped him hard across the face, "Of course I hate you," she replied hotly. She breathed heavily, still glaring at him with all her might, "Unfortunately for me, I also love you," she added, tears threatening to make an appearance. She turned and started to storm toward his quarters, feeling rightfully overwhelmed.

Talion took control then as Wolfgang lay, for the moment, subdued. The man was whisked off to the dungeons, and the clean up for the massacre would begin.
